Globally

Since Title IX is a United States federal civil rights law it does not apply or have any effect on a global scale. However, I believe that girls and women across the world should have the opportunities that Title IX gives girls and women in the United States. Ideally my suggestion would be to have rules enforced by the UN that can help make these opportunities available for all girls.

Education

In many countries poor families often favor boys when investing in education meaning that the girls even if they do attend school may not make it past primary school. In addition to this some in some countries schools do not meet the safety, hygiene, or sanational needs of girls which is an area that a law like Title IX would be able to help. This could ultimately result in more girls being able to attend and stay in school.

World wide there are 129 million girls that are out of school

  • 32 million are primary school age

  • 30 million are lower-secondary school age

  • 67 million are upper-secondary school age

49 percent of countries have achieved gender equality in primary education

  • 42 percent in lower secondary education

  • 24 percent in upper secondary education

Sports

Sports are an universal activity that can be used to unite women from all types of cultural backgrounds. Title IX regulates many rules for sports in the United States allowing women to have equal opportunities to participate in sports that girls in many other countries do not have.

NCAA

Title IX has given thousands of female athletes from abroad the opportunity to not only play sports in the United States but also an American education.
